All Ages

 

We begin our day with exercise – lots of exercise! The class includes stretches, creative movement, gymnastics*, running, skipping and jumping. We play a variety of ball games and take turns being team leaders.

On rainy days, we grab a chair or mat and do our exercises indoors. The instructor gives lessons on the importance of physical fitness and diet. Our students learn to respect their bodies and to take care of their physical well-being.

When the class concludes, the children are taught about proper hydration and everyone has a light snack. Our students are now ready for their academic pursuits.

*A special instructor trained in gymnastics visits our school several times a year and works on tumbling and balance skills.
